Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director
Janie has over 25 years of experience as a non-profit professional with expertise in organizational structures, budgeting, fundraising and relationship building. Janie leads the WHW staff with her experience in major gifts, annual campaigns and large scale special events. Janie also has a proven and highly successful track record in building and growing strong boards focused on the mission of the organization and on their role as board members.
Chief Operating Officer
Trina oversees all back office operations of WHW, helping the organization to deliver measurable and cost-effective results. Her wide range of responsibilities include Human Resources, the shaping of WHW’s brand message, development and implementation of WHW’s strategic marketing and communication activities, purchasing, organizational policies, management of WHW’s technology infrastructure and facilities, oversight of WHW’s Retail Store, Deja New, as well as special projects designed to increase the organization’s capacity, efficiency and awareness in the community.
Director of Programs
orchestrates the leadership in the three programmatic branches of WHW: Employment Development, Business Apparel and Volunteer Management. Her responsibilities include supervising, recruiting, and training lead staff to ensure the highest quality of service is extended to clients and collaborating agencies. Rachel oversees placement objectives to have continuous growth while designing and implementing strategic growth plans, resulting in expansion of programs, funding, and events. She also manages the programmatic budget and grant outcomes.
Director of Outreach
Robyn introduces WHW to Orange County’s corporate community, individual donors and skill based volunteers. She works to develop, maintain and expand WHW’s brand in the community as the leading provider of comprehensive employment readiness programs. Robyn also leads WHW’s robust Clothing Drive program.
Brenda identifies, researchs and decides the scope of onsite and offsite educational workshops to be offered to WHW clients. She directs and coordinates the compilation and editing of comprehensive workshop curriculum and materials, recruits volunteer instructors and arranges for guest lecturers to augment education volunteers in presentation of classes. She prepares course descriptions and informational materials for publicity, grants, and agencies and oversees a workshop evaluation program to ensure effectiveness. Brenda also oversees local job fair opportunities and facilitates WHW’s Client Alumni Alliance and Top Performer Mentoring Programs.
Lizet recruits, trains, coordinates and manages the over 1,000 Volunteers that support all aspects of WHW program and administrative needs. Lizet is responsible for assessing organizational needs and capacity for volunteers, creating volunteer program materials and developing volunteer position descriptions. She oversees the matching of volunteers to organization needs and opportunities, training, scheduling and volunteer recognition programs. Lizet who came to WHW as a College Intern also invests valuable time and focus to ensure the engagement of countless college and university Interns throughout Orange County helping WHW build leaders of tomorrow through multidisciplinary service learning opportunities.
Ginger manages the day-to-day profitable and smooth operations of WHW’s retail social enterprise , Deja New. Ginger oversees sales, customer service, inventory management, merchandising, social media and internal controls. Ginger establishes, facilitates and documents daily procedures, provides daily, weekly and monthly sales reports and strategically works to increase retail profits in support of WHW’s mission and programs.
Yesenia directs a host of program volunteers in managing the day-to-day operations of the WHW Apparel Program ensuring that WHW job seekers receive a high quality of apparel service and understand what it means to make a great first impression. She also oversees WHW Donations Centers orchestrating the thousands and thousands of donations received each month, sorting according to how the organization will best use the contributions to further our mission.
Jacqulene works collaboratively with the Program Director to support the outreach, planning and execution of educational programs along with helping to manage outcomes and oversee volunteers in various capacities. She coordinates workshop materials, workshop calendars and job leads. Jacqulene is instrumental in driving WHW’s Placement Program to ensure acquisition of employment information.
Ileana is responsible for supporting the fund development activities of the organization and providing administrative support to WHW’s Chief Executive Officer. She oversees WHW’s Donor Database, is involved with stewardship activities and fundraising events.
Computer Lab Instructor
Sirisha works with the Program Director to identify the digital needs of WHW job seekers. She executes all computer class arrangements, including calendar planning and material planning, development, designing, preparation and evaluation. Sirisha instructs computer training classes for WHW job seekers in areas of Microsoft Office as well as general computer literacy and internet navigation.
Ana assists WHW’s Program Manager through her support of WHW’s Apparel Program. She oversees incoming referrals, helps to schedule services, works with Job Seekers to select appropriate apparel, assists in WHW’s Donation Centers providing a high quality of service to WHW many Donors and participates in WHW’s many special events.
Alma supports WHW’s Chief Operating Officer in ensuring that back office functions deliver a high level of efficiency and effectiveness. Alma provides data, facilities, technology and marketing support and takes on special projects to help keep WHW running at a high level of impact.
Donation Center Coordinator
Angela is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of WHW’s Donation and Processing Center. Angela ensures that a thorough quality assessment is made of all incoming donations and that they are distributed to the proper program. Angela provides training and direction to a host of volunteers keeping WHW Apparel Centers and Retail Shop well stocked!
Lizette supports WHW’s mission through a variety of key tasks and processes, ensuring that our nonprofit partners and job seekers receive a high quality of service and follow up. She oversees front desk management, assisting Job Seekers with getting registered for appropriate programs and helping donors, volunteers and guests feel welcomed!
