Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director
Janie has over 25 years of experience as a non-profit professional with expertise in organizational structures, budgeting, fundraising and relationship building. Janie leads the WHW staff with her experience in major gifts, annual campaigns and large scale special events. Janie also has a proven and highly successful track record in building and growing strong boards focused on the mission of the organization and on their role as board members.
Chief Operating Officer
Trina oversees all back office operations of WHW, helping the organization to deliver measurable and cost-effective results. Her wide range of responsibilities include Human Resources, the shaping of WHW’s brand message, development and implementation of WHW’s strategic marketing and communication activities, purchasing, organizational policies, management of WHW’s technology infrastructure and facilities, management of WHW’s Retail Store, Déjà New, as well as special projects designed to increase the organization’s capacity, efficiency and awareness in the community.
Chief Program Officer
Robyn designs and implements all WHW programs, including strategic growth planning, leadership to lead program staff, recruitment, training and evaluation of outcomes. She oversees program curriculum, social enterprises, quality control plans, budget analysis and contract negotiations. With an extensive background in business development, Robyn is also a primary liaison to WHW’s many corporate partners, affiliates and nonprofit agency partners.
Elizabeth Kam Cheng
Liz oversees and manages a diverse set of back office functions, providing Senior Level Staff with fundraising, operations, facility, technology and program support. She assists in establishing and implementing standards and procedures ensuring office efficiency and productivity. Liz’s extensive customer service background in fast-paced environments provides her with the perfect experience for keeping the WHW office functioning at optimum level.
Lizet recruits, trains, coordinates and manages the over 1,000 Volunteers that support all aspects of WHW program and administrative needs. Lizet is responsible for assessing organizational needs and capacity for volunteers, creating volunteer program materials and developing volunteer position descriptions. She oversees the matching of volunteers to organization needs and opportunities, training, scheduling and volunteer recognition programs. Lizet who came to WHW as a College Intern also invests valuable time and focus to ensure the engagement of countless college and university Interns throughout Orange County helping WHW build leaders of tomorrow through multidisciplinary service learning opportunities.
Program Manager – Education
Brenda works with leadership to identify, research and decide the scope of onsite and offsite educational workshops to be offered to WHW clients. She manages and coordinates the compilation and editing of comprehensive workshop curriculum and materials, recruits volunteer instructors and arranges for guest lecturers to augment education volunteers in presentation of classes. She prepares course descriptions and informational materials for publicity, grants, and agencies and oversees a workshop evaluation program to ensure effectiveness. Brenda also oversees local job fair opportunities and facilitates WHW’s Client Alumni Alliance and Top Performer Mentoring Programs.
Retail Coordinator – Déjà New
Ginger is responsible for the day-to-day profitable and smooth operations of the high end retail social enterprise of WHW, Déjà New. Ginger oversees sales, customer service, inventory management, merchandising, social media and internal controls. Ginger ensures that the sales floor is stocked with high quality merchandise at all times and that Déjà New’s Facebook and Weekly Emails contain great photos!
Program Coordinator – Apparel/Donation Center
Yesenia coordinates the day-to-day operations of the WHW Apparel Program ensuring that WHW job seekers receive a high quality of apparel service. She provides administrative and processing support, helps oversee WHW Donations Centers and directs a host of program volunteers. Yesenia is often the voice and face of WHW to job seekers who are participating in WHW’s employment support services.
Program Coordinator – Apparel/Donation Center
Rosie directs program volunteers and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the WHW Apparel Program ensuring that WHW job seekers receive a high quality of apparel service. She provides administrative and processing support and helps oversee WHW Donations Centers. Rosie is often one of the very first voices and faces of WHW to job seekers who are participating in WHW’s employment support services.
Computer Lab Instructor
Audry works with the Program Manager to identify the digital needs of WHW job seekers. She executes all computer class arrangements, including calendar planning and material planning, development, designing, preparation and evaluation. Audry instructs computer training classes for WHW job seekers in areas of Microsoft Office as well as general computer literacy and internet navigation.
Ileana provides support to the Office Manager and Executive Staff through administrative and program support. She assists in front desk management, client support, data management and volunteer coordination. Ileana lends her talent to the Apparel Department as a Personal Stylist when needed and to the Education Department assisting with workshop set-up, facilitation and Partner Agency outreach.
Jacqueline supports the mission by providing support to the Chief Operating Officer in marketing, public relations and communications activities helping to grow the visibility of the organization. She assists in capturing events through photos and client stories though one-on-one interviewing. Jacqueline compiles content and photos for Social Media and Email Marketing and assists in the development of collateral materials and video campaigns.
