New or gently loved wares in-action-for-others

Job seekers appreciate the generosity of those who visit and gift apparel and in-kind items to support their job search. Clothing, accessories, personal care items, and business and leadership books from individuals and partners enable us to deliver quality programs to support the employment journey.

Professional apparel

WHW prepares women and men to be successful in their job search by helping them achieve a professional image with professional clothing and accessories. This is only made possible through the generosity of the community. A job seeker has about seven seconds to make a great first impression and WHW teaches participants to make the most of those seconds!

Designer and casual wear

Deja New is WHW’s social enterprise retail shop which features designer, high-end and casual name brand women’s and men’s fashions and financially supports the mission of WHW. One of the Top Ten Thrift Stores in Orange County according to Yelp, Deja New also helps to keep WHW’s mission top of mind in the community!

Textile recycling

Apparel donations that are not appropriate for our job seekers or for our retail shop as well as donations made of fabric (sheets, towels, curtains, etc.) are sold to a local textile recycler. The funds are then used to support WHW programs. The best part is that these items are used again and kept out of our landfills!
