Through WHW Computer Training Workshops, Job Seekers learn, practice and increase computer skills essential to moving forward with their job search and career advancement. WHW offers full access to the internet, email accounts, computer applications such as Microsoft Office and printing. Whether Job Seekers are just beginning their job search, need to strengthen their computer skills, or prepare for an interview, the WHW Computer Lab is completely accessible to support their digital job search activities.

Computer Training Classes
Virtually all jobs require candidates to have some working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Our Basic Computer Training provides an introduction to both of these programs. In the Word portion of the training you will learn how to create, format and save a word document, how to insert images and shapes and how to create a Newsletter. In the Excel portion of the training, you will will learn how to create a new Workbook, make data entries and use basic formulas.
Adding Microsoft Outlook to your skill set will increase your productivity and efficiency at work and will make you a more desirable candidate for companies which use this program for inner and outer office communication and scheduling. In the training you will learn how to organize your work life using the different features of Outlook, with a focus on managing the email, calendar and contacts functions.
Knowing how to create powerful and persuasive presentations will put you ahead of the crowd and make you a desirable candidate for many positions. In the Microsoft PowerPoint training, you will learn how to create professional looking presentations and how to use tables, charts, hyperlinks, SmartArt and animations to showcase your technical and design skills.
The ability to create professionally formatted documents is a transferable skill that you can apply to almost any job. In the Intermediate Microsoft Word training, you will learn to create and format word documents using essential tools like tab stops, page breaks, hyperlinks and mail merge and more!
Microsoft Excel is quickly becoming an essential computer skill for most office jobs. The ability to leverage the powerful spreadsheet program will make you a very desirable candidate for most any office or business position. In the Advanced Excel training you will learn how to apply the advanced analytical tools in Excel to assist in decision making. You will learn to use tools like Pivot Tables, Macros, VLOOKUP and What-If Analysis.
QuickBooks is a leading software used by most small and medium businesses for basic on premises accounting. The ability to successfully use this program will elevate your value to potential employers. In the Basic QuickBooks training you will learn how to navigate the program, add bills, create invoices, write checks and run reports. Having this skill set will put you ahead of most other candidates.
If your dream is to land a job in Accounting, QuickBooks skills will make you a very desirable candidate. In the Advanced QuickBooks training you will learn to create and add new accounts, including customers, vendors, items and the chart of accounts. This training also provides insight into planning documents.
Today more and more companies are moving toward cloud collaboration tools and Google Tools is one of the most popular. Understanding how to use these tools can move you ahead of other candidates. In the Google Tools training you will learn how to create and upload files and how to share and collaborate with others giving you the ability to walk on the job with a critical communication tool.
